Oh a most darling name... Miette
Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 09:43PM Isn't she sweet? ... Miette. I haven't ever met a little Miette, but I just know I will one day, surely a parent is going to be attracted to this adorable bubbly little French name. Anyway, I know what she looks like this little Miette, she just has to have large brown eyes with wild curly hair and a big pink bow. Don't you agree?
Miette means 'small; sweet', apparently just like a little pastry crumb. It is possibly a short version of Mariette. I think it is very small and sweet indeed.
I am not usually a fan of 'ette' names, I think this is because they were so popular in the 70's they seem kind of retro daggy. But I think Miette has the same feeling as Amelie and Chloe which are uber popular at the moment.

Miette, Oh that is darling! Sweet and small indeed. Good find Tara.
Oh, Miette is a beautiful name!
Miette is sweet. I do like her better as a nickname, I think - Mariette called Miette is lovely.
My seven year old Miette has blond hair (cut into a bob) and big blue eyes. :)
I thought of naming my baby girl Ally Mariel but I guess Ally Miette is better. =) Then she'll be wearing colorful baby bows. =)
My 3-year-old daughter's name is Ella Miette. She has big brown eyes and curly light brown hair, almost matches your description.
Oooh, I love it! When I have children I'll name one Mariette and call her Miette (I'm a firm believer in giving a child a full name even if you're going to call him/her by a nickname all the time, that way they can revert to the full name as an adult if they'd like, among other reasons.)
Hi Tara thanks, I have added into my database http://www.mycutebabyname.com/name/detail-miette.html, if you have any concern do let me know.
Cheers!
