Sierra's Clarabelle
Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 12:33PM Hi i was searching the web and came across your wesite. I was hopping you could help me.
I'm 8 months pregnant and myself and hubby are having problems choosing the name. My other children are Elle Marie, Cooper James and Saffron May. Its a girl and we are calling her Clarabelle but we have no idea what goes with the name, any ideas?
thanks
Sierra

Hi Sierra,
I wonder if you have had your darling bubby yet?
I love the names of your other children. Elle, Cooper and Saffron are gorgeous. But Clarabelle is just divine!
I think lots of names go well with it, but my preference for a longer fancier first names are simple elegant middle names. You have done the same with Marie and May and James.
So my suggestions are:
Grace - my second most favourite middle name. This name is rising in popularity but I think that is because just about everyone loves this name.
Rose - my first favourite middle name. I gave this name to my daughter. A beautiful floral name that has elegance and a grandma fussy feeling all in one. I think this is the most popular middle name for girls.
Eve - simple, elegant, sophisticated, spiritual. A hit name that sounds really good with Clarabelle.
Jane - this name has always been considered fairly plain. But I think the expression 'plain Jane' is a little unfair. Jane is a pretty name that suits being used as a middle name.
and then to be a bit more adventurous but fit with the pattern of 'M' middle names you have for girls.
March - a month name that isn't particularly popular, but also the last name of the family from Little Women. This is a strong name that sounds good with Clarabelle and tones down the super prettiness of that name too.
I would love to hear what you chose!

Hi Tara and thankyou so much for taking the time to reply!! No i havent had my bub yet but we are literally counting down the days!! I think my favourite of the suggestions is "Rose". I thinks that it has a good ring to it and as you said Clarabelle needs an elegant middle name. I'll be sure to tell you all when Clarabelle Rose is born!
Hi Sierra, when are you due? You must be at that 'totally over it' stage.
I hope you will send us a piccie of little Clarabelle when she arrives!

Oh Tara - March is just Divine!
I think Eve is an understated middle name. Its very classy
I think Eve also is a good name.
Hi Tara! Thanks for your recent comment on my blog and for stopping by my interview at Swish and Swanky too!
The little elf houses are adorable, aren't they! Stephanie at Even Cleveland was selling them in her Etsy shop---I think she's sold out at the moment but might bring them back if you ask her extra nicely ;)
You can see more about them here, on a guest post I did at 'My Favorite Things':

Hope you're having a lovely holiday season!

Jane is the perfect middle name, but I agree, Clarabelle Rose has a certain ring to it!
