I hate - bad baby name websites - ten most popular baby names

Bad baby name websites -- Don't you just think it is rude? I hate when you do an internet search for a particular type of name, say Scottish baby names and you get heaps of sites listing 'Top Ten Scottish Baby Names', which is very exciting, but then you look at the list and it starts with Emma for girls and Jack for boys?  Emma and Jack are HARDLY Scottish names!

I mean seriously there is a BIG difference between the ten most popular 'names used in Scotland'  and the idea of a top ten of 'Scottish baby names'.

I would LOVE to know the ten most popular Scottish baby names in the world or even just in Scotland or America or Australia?  I feel like I can't be bothered looking at the popularity lists and making up my own 'Top Ten' lists.   But maybe I will have to start doing it as nobody else seems to be bothering.

For some people, maybe not. Last spring, when I was sitting in for Neal Conan on Talk of the Nation , the news that week had been super serious and I wanted to do a couple of minutes of lighter fare. So I invited one of the nation\'s top fashion and ...

I am thrilled that the DC Abortion Fund is hosting an event to celebrate a book that enhances women’ s ability to make pregnancy and birthing decisions. Let’ s face it, some don’ t think that abortion supporters can be all rah- rah about the childbirth thing, but we really are. ...

If the above photo is real and the remnants of what was once a growing baby at 10 weeks, then there is absolute proof of what is being done to innocent life. NO EXCUSE for anyone to commit such an atrocity against the unborn. Even worse, when the DemonSpawnObam- man enacts ...

I don't know about the most popular authentic Scottish names but some of my favourites include the delectable Hamish, gorgeous Ewan and the beautiful girls names Isla and Elspeth...

Bad baby name websites can still be good. You can make it a point not to give the names listed in there to your child. mommy and me checked out those sites before we gave a name to my little angel.

An older post of yours, but one that has struck a cord. I am Scottish, as is my Husband and we live in the lovely Highlands of Scotland. Finding Scottish and Gaelic names on name websites is frankly an impossible task.

Here we actually have a lot of cross over with Irish names, often with different spellings.

My daughter is called Niamh Elizabeth Rose. I have cousins called Hamish, Cameron, Craig and Alasdair. My friend's children have names such as Isla, Iona, Orlaith, Ailsa, Niall, Bartley, Gavin Fergus, etc. These are the popular Scottish baby names, not Alpin, Coby, or Jock and I'm sick of people passing these off as authentic baby names to people who don't know better.
